About Us

This is our family.

The Peanuts

After many months of trying to have a baby we were blessed with the surprise that were pregnant on October 13th 2007. A few weeks later we were shocked and delighted to find out that we were having TWINS! And here begins the road to parenthood.

Catalina Evangelista was born May 19th 2008 at 8:00PM she weighed 5lbs 2oz and measured 18inches. When Cati was born I immediately heard her cries and it sounded just like a little squealing piglet. I'll never forget that beautiful melody that melted my heart right then & there.

Valentina Maria was born May 19th 2008 at 8:02PM she weighed 4lbs 10oz and measured 18 1/4 inches. I remember the doctors struggling to get her out because she had decided to wedge herself deep into rib cage in an L shape. And that's exactly how Val was born with her legs out in front of her in an L shape. I remember  thinking she looked relieved to finally be able to stretch out. I held my breath and after about a minute I finally heard her cry and my heart began to beat again.

Camila Naomi Martinez was born on March 18, 2011 at 3:39PM.  After over a year of trying to have another child we finally conceived Camila and I was ecstatic to be having ONE child. She was the answer to my prayers and supplication to God. My pregnancy with Camila was anything but uneventful we had one battle after another but she finally arrived. Even her arrival was exciting to the bitter end! After many hours of labor Camila finally made her arrival via cesarean section and she was a wopping 7lbs 10oz and was 21 inches long. She's no small peanut!

The Peanuts Dad

My dear husband was born and raise in New York City (mostly in the Bronx). It took us 6 years after our first acquaintance to actually date. So to say he doesn't rush into anything is an understatement. He used to travel for work extensively but that all ended shortly after we married. He still works in New York because that's how he likes it. He's my techy geek and my house always has some cutting edge technology thanks to him. He's a great dad and the most hands-on-daddy I've ever seen. He cooks, cleans, gives baths, picks out clothes (in fashion or not is not relevant :) ha), brushes hair (again, style is not relevant here), plays girly games, and pretty much anything his daughters need, he does. Despite having minimal to no experience with babies and children he has caught up REAL fast. Somehow, I think God has a way putting you in the right place at the right time.

The Peanuts Mom

I was born and raised in New Jersey and have lived in New York City briefly after we got married. We have finally ended up in New Jersey permanently to raise our family. I currently am a working mom but spend as much time at home as possible with my children. From the moment we decided to have our daughters it hasn't been an easy road but it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I always tell people that I was born to be a mom. There is no other job I would rather have then this one.

The Pooches
My practice babies :)

C3PO is my only male furbaby. He's the oldest of all our kids, both 4-legged and 2-legged. He has is a sweet little guy but he's like an energizer bunny. He never tires he's constantly looking to find ways to drive me batty. He waits for the right opportunity to swipe things off my counter or jump on the table for scraps or if someone is taking too long to eat he'll happily eat off their plate.

Topaz is our first little girl. I was putty in her hands when I first laid eyes on her. She's sweet and calm but such a nervous nelly. She's afraid of everything and anything including vacuums, BBQ grill, any loud noises, anything strange looking. I believe she must have been a cat in a prior life. She could be indoors her whole life and never miss the outside world. Her fav place to be is snuggled on someone's lap or lounging somewhere fast asleep.
